Exeter, NH – EnviroVantage demolition specialists assist with the renovation of the Exeter Inn.
EnviroVantage has completed demolition/restoration services at the 46-room Exeter Inn, 90 Front St. The Georgian designed inn opened in 1932, near the campus of Phillips Exeter Academy. Over the next half century, the inn was a key landmark. Sadly, it lost some of its prestige as it aged. In the early nineties, the inn was purchased, some minor renovations were accomplished, but the inn did not recover its original status.
In 2006, a Connecticut company, HayCreek Hospitality, purchased the inn. One of the renovation objectives was to retain the best features of the old while bringing more modern accoutrements to its new patrons.
The key landmarks were found in the bar and the dining room, the trim and cabinets in the social areas. The demolition plan was to take down each of the old wooden pieces, and ensure that it was not damaged so it could be refinished and restored to the new Epoch Restaurant and Bar.
Whether it was crown molding, hand crafted trim on the cabinets or the other important woodwork, EnviroVantage demolition specialists were able to provide the Cobb Hill Construction carpenters the material to restore the rooms.
The renovation of the inn included; new tile showers, custom finishes, granite countertops, and custom-made tabletop vanities.
