EnviroVantage Receives a Renewal of State Microbial Licensing to Use EPA-approved Pesticide Agents to Kill Disease-causing Bacteria, Mold, and Viruses.
January 28, 2008 – Epping, NH – EnviroVantage, Inc., a leader in the safe handling of hazardous materials at building and historic reconstruction sites, has received a renewal of state licensing from New Hampshire’s Department of Agriculture-Pesticide Division to fight microbial contaminations with the powerful solutions approved and tested by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
EnviroVantage is the only New Hampshire-based firm with a Commercial for Hire Microbial Pesticide Applicators permit, licensed to use EPA-registered chemicals to remove microbial organisms such as the highly contagious, drug-resistant bacteria MRSA (Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), among the nation’s leading causes of school- and hospital-acquired infections.
The approved chemicals, which include hundreds of antimicrobial sprays, biocides, fungicides, and sporicides, are far stronger than common cleaning products and disinfectants. When mishandled or applied incorrectly, such chemicals can be health hazards in themselves.
“In our age of super-viruses and bacteria such as MRSA, proper application of biocides is crucial for keeping schools and buildings safe,” says EnviroVantage Director of Microbial Remedation, Barry Williams. “Our specialized microbial application services (used in conjunction with a building‘s janitorial staff) eliminate possible health risks, as well as safety and liability issues for schools and towns.”
EnviroVantage, Inc. is a regional leader in the safe handling and removal of hazardous materials (including lead paint, asbestos, and mold) found at building sites on projects requiring renovation, demolition, or historic reconstruction. EnviroVantage created the standard procedures for lead paint removal and staffs experts on every major contaminant found in buildings.
