Amen Hall (1925) Phillips Exeter Academy
Phillips Exeter Academy, one of America’s foremost preparatory schools, did a complete renovation of Amen Hall, a girls’ dormitory built in 1925. A key goal of the project was a reconfigured interior featuring new stairwells and larger rooms for fewer students.
EnviroVantage laid the groundwork for the renovation. The firm managed crews that gutted the interior, removed all hazardous materials found onsite (including asbestos and lead paint), and prepared the four-story structure for reconstruction.
Time. EnviroVantage manged teams that worked around the clock throughout the summer to ensure completion during the 10 weeks the students are away.
EnviroVantage completed its work ahead of schedule and has entered its third decade of providing environmental services to the academy.
“We are proud of our 20+ year relationship with Phillips Exeter Academy,” says EnviroVantage president Scott Knightly. “Our work at the Academy has taught us that meeting tight deadlines is what builds longterm partnerships.”
