EnviroVantage President, Scott Knightly, has been presented with a huge honor—New Hampshire Business Review’s Business Excellence Award in the category of Construction.
According to NHBR’s website, “Recognizing the state’s small-business owners and operators is the purpose of NHBR’s Business Excellence Awards — they are a celebration of those small-business people whose imagination, industriousness and innovation have not only helped their companies to grow and thrive, but to give back as well — to their communities and the entire state.”
Scott Knightly is truly deserving of this award. He has built up his company through 30 years of hard work and dedication. Scott knows how to market his company and build strong, personal relationships with his clients. For these reasons, EnviroVantage has seen significant growth in the past few years, even in a difficult economy.
Scott also knows how important it is for businesses to give back to their communities; therefore, each year, Scott selects a community construction project where he donates his labor and resources free of charge. For example, this year EnviroVantage was a part of the “Building on Hope” project for Girls Inc. in Manchester, NH. The Manchester Girls Center is housed in a 27-year old former church that was in need of major renovations, repairs and cosmetic work. Each day approximately 100 at-risk girls attend the Manchester Girls Center and benefit from a program that handles challenging issues facing girls each day, ranging from personal safety, economic literacy, and media messages to health concerns. Volunteering time and getting others to do the same, EnviroVantage was able to successfully turn this building into a warm, comforting home.
In business and in his community, Scott Knightly is proof that a person can achieve anything if they have a strong desire to succeed. Congratulations to Scott for this amazing recognition!
